Turtle

"Imagine that the whole earth was covered with water, and a man was to throw a yoke with a hole in it into the water. Blown by the wind, that yoke would drift north, south, east and west. Now, suppose that once in hundred years a blind turtle would rise to the surface. What do you think? Would that turtle put his head through the hole in the yoke as he rose to the surface once in a hundred years?"

"It is unlikely Lord."

"Well, it is just as unlikely that one will be born as a human being; it is just unlikely that a Tathagata, a Noble One, a fully enlightened Buddha should arise in the world; and it is just as unlikely that the Dhamma and discipline of the Tathagata should be taught. But now you have been born as a human being, a Tathagata has arisen and the Dhamma has been taught. Therefore, strive to realize the Four Noble Truths."

Life Goes On... Phew..

Someone said before that he/she can sum up life in three words, "Life goes on". It hits me as I was watching American Idol on TV, watching Constantine being voted out and Scott being the in the top 3 with most votes??? My reaction was probably not as shocked as MJ, but still, like her, felt a bit down, I don't really like Scott, the rest are ok to me.

Anyway, when someone get voted out, again, same like MJ, didn't expect Anwar to go out so fast, well, when someone got voted out, what happens? The world (or America) cried with you for a day, or the most a couple of days, then next week they vote for another person and everyone just go on with their own life, so life goes on...

Next time when things are bad, yeah, life goes on..

I just posted the above in another blog where I was invited as a contributor, there's nothing bad about it, just that it taught me a lesson to be more careful on where I post my blog...

Phew... not a costly lesson, luckily...
